Jake Elish
Production Coordinator
Jake Elish grew up in Thomaston, Georgia, where some of his earliest memories are of tubing and fishing the Flint River with friends and family. But the part of his childhood that most directly shaped his career was time spent with his two grandfathers. His Papa John was a chicken farmer; Jake worked summers in the chicken houses making sure feeders and water lines stayed running and prepping the houses for the next flock. His Papa Farest was a welder and carpenter; Jake spent long hours in his shop learning to weld, work on cars and boat motors, hunt, fish, and build a house. Together, they taught him to work with his hands and take pride in everything he put out — the lessons that still sit underneath everything Jake does in construction.
After working various jobs in the trades, Jake's time as a home builder for Rockhaven Homes is what launched him into construction management proper. His specialty is project oversight and quality control — making sure every installation meets Peachtree's standards and industry standards. His "Gold Medal" moment came during a home build when he caught a significant structural discrepancy between the architectural plans and the actual site conditions during framing — early enough to coordinate a cost-effective solution that prevented thousands in rework and preserved the home's structural integrity. The mentor's wisdom he carries: if you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over? His promise to homeowners is a "do it right the first time" mentality — no shortcuts, beautiful work built to last for decades.
Home is his girlfriend and their four fur babies. Jake generally loves being outdoors, but kayaking is his favorite. Fun fact: he would rather be too cold than too hot. Bucket-list trips: Italy and Japan.
