Chris Holder is from Moultrie, Georgia, and what he loves about it is exactly what you would expect: wide open spaces and no traffic. He came up in that small town picking tobacco on farms in the summer and helping out on construction jobs to earn money for school clothes — the kind of upbringing that turned into a lifelong fascination with how things are built and, more importantly, how they could be built better. He spent four years as a residential home inspector before transitioning into roofing nearly eight years ago, and that combination of trades-level fluency and inspector-level scrutiny is what has made him one of Peachtree's most trusted problem solvers.

Chris specializes in water intrusion — "be like water" is the way he describes thinking through where it sneaks in — and the projects he is most proud of are the ones where Peachtree solved a leak no one else could trace. Other companies, he says, would walk away saying "sorry, it's not the roof." Chris uses his cross-trade background to actually find the real cause and take care of the homeowner anyway. His mentor's wisdom comes down to a single line: if something is worth doing, it is worth doing right — and the real test is whether you still do it right when no one is watching. He approaches every project with a mental list of what could go wrong, then prepares his crews to make sure nothing on that list ever does.

Home is wife Joanna and his two daughters, Darcy and Saylor. Chris loves golf and tackling whichever home project Joanna has dreamed up that month. In 2016, he was invited by an Augusta National member to play the course — a chance most lifelong golfers never get. His bucket list: a month on Scotland's northern coast golf trail.
